Resin comparisons should be made at the processing condition that the factory can control. A low initial viscosity is not useful if pot life, exotherm or cure creates voids and distortion in the intended thickness. Record material temperature, ambient conditions, mix accuracy, gel behavior and post-cure so the material trial can be reproduced during production and investigated if performance changes.
Cured-property tables require context. Neat-resin values, cast plaques and reinforced laminates answer different questions, while conditioning and cure can materially change results. Buyers should identify the relevant construction and test method, distinguish typical from guaranteed values, and agree which certificate fields or periodic tests will demonstrate ongoing conformity after approval.
Shelf life and logistics are part of resin quality. Confirm manufacturing date, storage temperature, inhibitor or settling behavior, drum or IBC closure, dangerous-goods classification and the procedure for material exposed outside its permitted range. The purchase order should also define change notification for formulation, raw-material source and manufacturing site.
